Reflecting, Sharing, Learning

Karen Hankins introduces her Dad, Bill Hale, with a story about her family and appreciating individual talents. Her father, she notes, has been telling stories his entire life and his basement is full of journals he's kept for years. But writing a book is a new form of story telling for him, and she encouraged everyone to read his book, The Village and Beyond: Memoirs of a Cotton Mill Boy, because it will inspire you to write your own story.

Bill, an octogenarian, said he never thought about being old in writing a book. He explained, "The longer I live, the more I am able to see because I know more. . .I've lived long enough to get a perspective on it. I didn't know enough to do that until now."
