COGS Marathon U.S. Census Indexing Event

We are having a hands-on, indexing marathon for volunteers to come together to work on the 1950 U.S. Census index - assistance will be available.
This in-person event will take place in the computer lab on the second floor of the Athens - Clarke County Library, Saturday, May 21 from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Wednesday, May 25 from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. We would love for you to join us!
Help make the 1950 Census fully and accurately searchable! You can even contribute to the community in which your family lived.
This event is free and open to the public, but Clarke-Oconee Genealogical Society members will receive a link to our online sign-up form first. On May 1st, the sign-up link will be made available to everyone. Please check back on May 1, 2022 for the sign up link! Ten people at a time can volunteer for each two hour time slot.
