Friends announce Fall Book Sale, November 10-13, 2021

The Friends of Athens-Clarke County Library are excited to announce the return of one of local book lovers’ favorite events – the Fall Book Sale!

The sale will feature thousands of gently used books, including fiction, non-fiction, children’s books, hardbacks, paperbacks, audio books, CDs and more.  This will be the Friends’ first in-person book sale since October 2019!

The sale will begin with a Friends-only preview sale from 2-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 10. Shoppers can purchase a Friends membership at the door of the sale for $25 and then get first pick at the sale! Please note that the rest of the library will be closed to the public on Wednesday, Nov. 10, for staff training.

The sale will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 11; and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 12, and Saturday, Nov. 13. Saturday is Bag Day, when shoppers can fill a bag, provided by the Friends, for just $10!

Face masks will be required for shoppers, and social distancing measures will be in place, including limiting the number of shoppers allowed at one time.

All proceeds from the Book Sale benefit the Athens-Clarke County Library.
