Want to learn more about genealogy resources? What about the items and materials available at the Oconee County Library’s Ivy Room? Join the Clarke-Oconee Genealogical Society, Oconee County Library, and the Athens-Clarke County Library Heritage Room for a special AFTER HOURS research event! The event will kick off with a meal generously provided by the Friends of the Oconee County Library and some time to socialize and interact with COGS members and library staff. Ashley Shull, Archives & Special Collections Coordinator, will take attendees through the updates and changes to the Galileo database and how it can be used for genealogy research. With the remaining two hours, explore the collections in the Ivy Room or jump on a computer and start searching for records with help from COGS volunteers. This is a great way to learn about the Clarke-Oconee Genealogical Society, the Oconee County Library, and to talk about all things genealogy! Be sure to register for this free event.
